European Union Trade Review

The European Commission has begun the process of reviewing the EU’s trade policy in the context of dramatic global changes in the past few years. One key takeaway is that the EC intends to meld trade policy with the European Green Deal, the Digital Transformation, and COVID recovery. Another is that Europe is poised to step into the void created by the United States’ stepping back as a leader on global trade.
